What it means in practice
A workflow is the route a task takes from beginning to end. For example: a client sends an enquiry, the salesperson logs it in the CRM, prepares a quote, and sends it to the client. Wire AI into that workflow and you can skip some steps or do them in a fraction of the time.
Why companies need to know this
- Removing bottlenecks. You find where tasks get stuck (waiting for an approval, say) and AI can speed that up.
- Standardisation. Every employee follows the same route, which keeps output quality stable for clients.
- Visibility. The owner sees exactly where jobs stand and where money leaks out through inefficiency.
An example from practice
A marketing agency changed its workflow for producing articles. Instead of writing from scratch, they use AI for the research and the first outline. The copywriter then edits the text and gives it some emotion. Delivery time halved. In our company AI workshops we teach how to rebuild your existing workflows to get the most out of AI.
