Integration platforms (Make / Zapier)

Tools such as Make.com or Zapier that let you connect hundreds of different business applications to each other and automate moving data between them.

What it means in practice

Picture your company as an orchestra where accounting, email, the CRM and ChatGPT each play from different sheet music and never listen to one another. An employee has to act as courier, copying data from one system into the next by hand. Integration platforms (Make.com, Zapier) are the conductor that brings them together. You set a rule visually: IF a new enquiry arrives by email, THEN ask ChatGPT for a draft reply, AND THEN save the client contact in Pipedrive. The whole thing runs automatically in the background, around the clock.

Why companies need to know this

An example from practice

A marketing agency produced social media content for clients. They wrote the copy in Google Docs, copied it by hand into ChatGPT for a spelling check, approved it in Trello, and finally published it. Using Make.com they connected the tools. Today the copywriter just moves a card in Trello into the “For review” column. Make picks that up, sends the text to ChatGPT automatically, the AI fixes the typos, and the text comes back into Trello ready to publish. It saved them dozens of hours of drudgery a month.

In our company AI workshops we show how easy it is to put Make.com to work in your company and let computers do the jobs you would otherwise be paying wages for.
