Copilot (AI assistant)

A digital AI assistant built directly into the tools you use every day, such as Excel, Word or your CRM. It helps you work faster and make fewer mistakes.

What it means in practice

The word copilot captures the role exactly. It is not an autopilot that flies while you sleep. It is your second pilot. Working in Excel, you no longer hunt for complicated formulas. You type “Highlight every month where revenue was under 10 thousand euros” and the copilot does it. You are still the pilot and the one who decides.

Why companies need to know this

An example from practice

A sales company had struggled with management reporting for years. Instead of building complicated Excel macros, they deployed an AI assistant. Today the finance manager simply asks for last quarter’s sales data and the copilot helps prepare and structure the output for leadership. The time to produce management reports dropped sharply.

In our company AI workshops we teach people how to talk to AI assistants clearly and how to get concrete business results out of them.
