What it means in practice
Most companies do what they did before, only faster. That is fine as a start, but it is a ceiling. An AI-native process comes from a different question: “If we were designing this today, knowing agents can work on their own, what would it look like?”
On the maturity ladder this is level L4, above chat, saved procedures and automated workflows.
An example from practice
Selling online courses can be done by hand: a new campaign in Meta Ads Manager, a new landing page, manual analysis of the results. Every time from scratch.
The AI-native version of the same process looks different. A single orchestrator has access to the website code, to payments, to the ad account, to analytics and to email sending. It reads the conversions and decides the next move itself: pause an ad, launch a campaign, build a new funnel. The human sets the goal and the boundaries, not the individual steps.
Why management should care
The gap between departments tends to be surprisingly large. In most companies development is at L4 while sales, marketing, finance and operations stay at L1, on plain chat. That gap is an opportunity and a risk at the same time.
In the management workshop every team places its own departments on the scale. That is usually where the real discussion starts.
