Sales research for conferences – Warm contacts, not a cold list

How we built a conference organiser a sales agent that finds target firms and people for each event and hands the sales team warm contacts.

The starting point

The firm organises specialist conferences. Sales depends on finding the right firms and the right people for a given date. Sales used to do that by hand. Research ate time that should have gone to calls and to closing.

The problem

The solution: an agent for research, a person for closing

We built a sales agent that does the research. For a given conference it finds target firms and people. Sales gets warm contacts. Closing stays with the team.

How it works:

  1. A brief from the conference. Topic, region, type of firm. The agent does not look for “anyone”.
  2. Firms and people, not just a sector. The output should be a name and a firm sales can call.
  3. Sales closes. The agent does not send the offer for them. It prepares the briefing.

What changed

What transfers to your company

  1. “We tried AI” often means the surface. One chat did not find a pipeline. You need an agent with a brief from your product.
  2. Hand sales a name, not a report. If the output does not go straight into a call, it sits in a folder.
  3. Leave closing to people. The agent should search. The team that sells the conference closes the deal.
